Historical Vintage Mattress and Bedding Advertisements

This well-curated collection of over 300 black and white and color magazine ads are originals from the 19th through 20th centuries. Many are over 100 years-old. They are archived in seven portfolios. and are rated good to very good suitable for display framing. The ads include past and present brands such as sealy, Serta, Simmons, Stearns and Foster, and Englander. Do you remember Ostermoor?

These collector ads were donated by Arnold Hershbain of PureCare. They were collected over decades by Samuel L. Chase who died of pancreatic cancer in 2006. Sam Chase was a co-founder with Arnold Hershbain of Fabrictech, a mattress and pillow protection company. Today, the company is known as PureCare.

According to Arnold Hershbain, “I have donated what was entrusted to me to the Seena Magowitz Pancreatic Cancer Foundation with hopes of raising money for research to find a cure. It is my wish that wherever Sam’s collection winds up, it will be revered and enjoyed and will serve to keep Sam’s memory alive.”
