Seeking A Non-Profit Marketing Communications Volunteer

The Volunteer Reports To: The Marketing & Communications Director

The Seena Magowitz Foundation is seeking a dynamic, self starter to assist our nonprofit in marketing and communication efforts. We are looking for a volunteer with creative marketing interest to help build awareness and support for pancreatic cancer research. You should have good communication skills, be super organized, and comfortable working quickly and independently. This would be a great opportunity to learn more about nonprofit marketing.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Assist in developing and gathering creative content for social media campaigns and eblasts
• Assist in planning, writing and promoting monthly virtual events
• Provide support in sending handwritten Thank You letters to donors
• Provide support in sending handwritten Certificate of Donation letters to families
• Participate in digital networking for virtual event success

Requirements

• Must be dependable and punctual
• Be courteous and personable when dealing with the public
• Be self-directed, willing to take initiative, and detail-oriented
• Respect and maintain confidentiality of Seena Magowitz Foundation patients, partners, and donors

Training and Supervision

• Training and supervision conducted by the Marketing and Communications Director

Location and Compensation

• All volunteers can work 100% remotely
• Position is 100% volunteer and unpaid
• We will work with your school to provide college credit; if applicable

Time Commitment

• Present during weekly virtual staff meetings
• 4 hours a week
