Compassion has defined virtually every chapter in Charlotte Pollack’s life, from her work as a nurse and her time as a pancreatic cancer caregiver for her late husband, Ken, to her current role as President of Babbo Italian Eatery, an eight-location, family-owned Arizona restaurant group. Raised in Sweden, Charlotte then relocated to the United States and enjoyed a long career as a Registered Nurse before transitioning into a leadership role at Babbo.

Looking to follow Ken’s long legacy of philanthropy, Charlotte continued Babbo’s charitable efforts after his late-2022 passing. The beloved Arizona eatery sponsors impactful initiatives like the Seena Magowitz Foundation’s annual “Steppin’ Up Against Pancreatic Cancer” fundraiser at Arizona State University, and it also hosts regular “Baseball for Babbo” Days of Giving, where an entire day’s worth of profits from all eight Babbo locations goes directly toward funding pancreatic cancer research. With over $621,000 already raised, Babbo and the Pollack family are well on their way to reaching their goal of putting $1 million toward the cause. Charlotte also furthers the fight against pancreatic cancer through her role on the foundation board, with her experience as a fundraiser, caregiver and someone who’s seen the power of clinical trials firsthand driving her commitment to furthering research and giving other families the same gift her own once received – more time and tomorrows with the people they love.
