Michael Francis, a second-generation Arizona native, hails from a prominent cotton-ginning family and has a long and successful history in the insurance and agricultural industries. An avid horticulturist and one of just a handful of rosebush growers in America, he secured a business degree from the University of Arizona before founding his own insurance agency, and, eventually, his own family rosebush business, Michael Francis Roses. A current and past member of numerous boards, commissions and societies serving the military, energy, humanitarian, financial and agricultural sectors, Michael maintains a strong commitment to improving conditions, opportunities and quality of life for residents of Arizona communities statewide.
A seven-year pancreatic cancer survivor, himself, Michael has experienced the power of clinical trials firsthand, having participated in “The Triplet” trial, funded in part by the Seena Magowitz Foundation. The Triplet has since become a standard and effective treatment option for many people with pancreatic cancer, helping Michael and many others reach survivorship milestones that once seemed beyond reach. Michael has also become an avid supporter and regular fixture at Seena Magowitz Foundation functions and fundraisers and works closely alongside his brother, Dr. Perry Francis, who serves as a moderator for several foundation support groups.
