Tom LaPorte

Board Member

Tom LaPorte brings decades of leadership and a long legacy of philanthropy to his role on the Seena Magowitz Foundation Board. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Tom has enjoyed a successful career in wealth management, earning a “Top 10 Branch Manager” honor from On Wall Street and multiple “Branch Manager of the Year” accolades from Raymond James, a leading global financial services company, among other professional achievements and distinctions. He now serves as a Managing Director and President’s Council Member of Stifel Nicolaus, a global wealth management and investment banking firm in business since 1890.

Tom first joined forces with the Seena Magowitz Foundation in 2012 after meeting Founder Roger Magowitz at a series of social events. The more he learned about the foundation, its efforts to further pancreatic cancer research and its relationships with Dr. Daniel Von Hoff, the Translational Genomics Research Institute and others leading the fight against pancreatic cancer, the more he dedicated himself to the cause, using his time, talents and influence to encourage others to do the same. A steadfast supporter since the Seena Magowitz foundation’s early days, Tom, his wife, Juli and their four children continue to further the foundation’s efforts to expand treatment options, lengthen lifespans, and, ultimately, improve outcomes for everyone affected by this disease.
