Capturing The Visual Essence of Every Occasion
You may be familiar with the work of photographer Debby Wolvos through the Seena Magowitz Foundation. And while she donates her time every year to capturing event moments at Seena Magowitz Foundation Annual Fundraising Events, she has built her award-winning reputation artfully photographing food and cocktails for many well-known restaurants and magazines.
But as busy as she is, she remains devoted to the Foundation. About 10 years ago, she heard from a friend that a Phoenix steakhouse needed a photographer. She connected with Tony Subia, co-owner of the Donovan’s Prime Steakhouse and a long-time local advertising executive, now retired who has been donating his time to the Seena Magowitz Foundation. Tony knew the foundation needed a photographer and asked Debby if she would come to the organization’s rescue, and Debby agreed without hesitation. Ever since, she’s been photographing all of the events that are part of each year’s fundraising weekend.
Nationally Prominent
For the past dozen years, she has taken luscious, memorable photos of food (and photographed renowned chefs) for such clients as the City of Scottsdale’s “Experience Scottsdale” Travel Guide, Travel + Leisure, Forbes and Modern Luxury magazines, USA Today, Southwest Airlines Magazine, National Restaurant Magazine, PHOENIX magazine and Thrillist. She’s also a contract photographer for cookbooks and culinary textbooks and she’s currently working on projects with True Food Kitchen, Salad and Go, Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn, Match Cuisine and Cocktails, Barrio Queen, Grimaldi’s and Baja Fresh. She’s also a regular contributor to Edible Phoenix, Phoenix Home and Garden, Uptown and So Scottsdale magazines.
Since 2015, Arizona Foothills Magazine has named her Best Food Photographer every year.
What the Seena Magowitz Foundation Exemplifies
Dr. Von Hoff is life changing. His tireless commitment to research in the fight against pancreatic cancer is awe-inspiring. Roger Magowitz, who lost his mother Seena to this dreaded disease, has spearheaded the Magowitz Foundation with such determination and grace, and is so committed to helping fund expert pancreatic research. I am deeply honored to be a part of this stellar origination. They are all family. My greatest honor and joy is to be associated with this group.”
